They say that timing is everything, and we truly believe some animals are sent to us exactly when we need them most. Remy came to us from the very same farm as Chili, arriving just as our hearts were breaking from the loss of our beloved, long-time resident Casey.
Remy was raised on a farm that primarily fed a rich diet of grain and alfalfa to does and kids. Because he has a hernia that surgery could not remedy, keeping his weight in check is absolutely critical for his health. That high-calorie diet was simply too rich for him, making our sanctuary a much healthier choice for his retirement.
With his remarkably soulful, patient nature, this absolute sweetheart has captured everyone’s heart. He is a natural fit for our gentle sheep and disabled youngsters, and he has taken on a very special mission to be the comforting, steady friend that Percy needs.
