Rescued From Meat Auction
Farley arrived with Mowat as week old male goats discarded by the dairy industry. Like male cows, males are unwanted in the milk industry and are usually sold for meat. At a week old, they lived in our bathroom and required bottle feeding five times a day! Two of their feedings were at 8pm and 12am so having them in our bathroom made this easier to do!
Now fully grown, this handsome fellow is a lover at heart and enjoys nose and head rubs! He’s strongly bonded with Mowat and rules the herd of goats he shares space with.
Breed: Kiko, Spanish or Boer cross
Birth date / year: 2015
Rescue date: 2015
Fun Fact: Farley sleeps in the same house every night (he’s the boss after all)
Available for Sponsorship: As part of our ‘geriatric’ herd, donations to our Elder Care Fund are extremely helpful to keep Farley comfortable in his later years.
