Many people have never had the chance to interact closely with pigs. During these sessions, they quickly discover that pigs are not just farm animals—they are sentient beings with unique personalities, much like cats and dogs. From playful snuffles to gentle nudges, our sweet residents remind everyone that empathy, connection, and joy aren’t limited to traditional companion animals.

Our summer classes are held in our peaceful pastures, where the pigs enjoy the enrichment activity just as much as our human guests! It is a truly educational experience. Visitors leave with a new appreciation for farm animals and a deeper understanding of the care and respect that every rescued animal at The Happy Herd deserves.
Each of our summer pasture sessions is guided by our wonderful, dedicated instructor, Neda. Under the open Langley skies, Neda leads participants through a relaxing, accessible yoga flow that perfectly balances calming stretches with lighthearted laughter as the pigs roam free among the mats.

Meet the Stars of the Show
Did you know our famous “Yoga Pigs” were actually an unexpected surprise? In August 2017, the SPCA brought us Lily and Lulu, unaware that Lulu was pregnant. The very next morning, five tiny piglets were born at the sanctuary! Today, the inseparable siblings Willie, Bif, Moby, and Monroe are the absolute heart of our summer events.
