If you’ve walked our pastures or followed our journey for a while, you likely recognize that sweet, scruffy face. Casey arrived at our farm sanctuary as a shy, six-month-old lamb. She wasn’t interested in easy affection; it took months of patience before she offered her first nuzzle.
To be “chosen” by Casey was the highest honor. For years, she lived in peace alongside her best friend Norman, always on the hunt for her favorite treat: a banana.

Her Final Lesson
In the Spring of 2026, we said goodbye to Casey after a brief, but brave battle with bladder cancer. Her passing has left a hole in our herd, but her spirit has given us a new mission. As our rescues age, their needs become complex. Like Casey, our senior residents deserve to grow old with dignity and stay free from pain.
