A Resilient Sole Survivor Finding His Place
Winston was a tiny, two-day-old orphaned piglet. His mother and three siblings passed away at or shortly after birth, leaving him as the sole survivor. Recognizing that a newborn requires intensive, around-the-clock care, his owner reached out for help, and we stepped in quickly to bring him home to safety.
Thanks to our experience raising other fragile newborns, we were fully prepared. We set up a playpen in our living room, readied bottles and milk replacer, and immediately began a demanding feeding schedule every two hours.
Winston spent his earliest weeks indoors where he could be closely monitored as he grew stronger. As he gained confidence, he began exploring the outdoors and meeting other members of the herd—including Pickles, with whom he has bonded beautifully. Today, Winston continues to thrive as he finds his place within the farm family.
