A Handsome Wandering Sheep Finding His Perfect Herd
A handsome young sheep was found wandering in a Surrey backyard, where he was safely picked up by the Animal Services Officers with the Surrey Animal Resource Centre.
The centre is fond of pun names, and the unique colouring of this gorgeous boy brought the name Idris Elbaaa to mind (even if that is not quite how the real Idris spells it!). We spotted his ‘lost and found’ ad and immediately reached out to the centre so we could meet him. Staff were clearly in love with him, and it was obvious why.
It was love at first touch, and this darling boy came home with us that very afternoon, as soon as we could arrange a comfortable new enclosure for him. Today, little Sprout has happily joined our growing sheep and goat herd, where he is settling in beautifully alongside other recent newcomers, Percy and Diego. Mamma Maggie seems to have taken him under her wing, he’s often spotted grazing alongside her.
