A High-Flying Piglet Finding His Forever Home
Alexander was rescued under incredibly fragile circumstances when he was rejected by his mother at just three days old. Fortunately, Brittany, a compassionate veterinary nurse in Manitoba intervened, bottle-feeding him around the clock and nursing him back to health until he was a thriving, happy piglet.
Because keeping pigs was illegal in his caregiver’s local area, she set off on a massive journey to find him a safe, permanent sanctuary. She drove him all the way to Cochrane, Alberta, to meet up with our team.
From there, his journey became truly extraordinary! A very good friend of the farm offered his pilot services (and private plane), and Alexander became a literal flying pig, soaring high over the Rocky Mountains before we transported him the final stretch to our Langley farm animal sanctuary.
Today, this sweet and social boy is safe, loved, and settling beautifully into his new life with us. We are hoping he will be the perfect companion for Winston.
